The Brooklyn Bazaar Music and Arts Festival in partnership with BGR!FEST( BLACK GIRLS ROCK!) presents “Ladies First: A Dialogue on Women’s Influence in Hip Hop”

This panel brings together a diverse mix of women from DJs to entrepreneurs, producers, and curators, each offering a wealth of knowledge and insights from their influential roles in the hip hop landscape. These trailblazers, having defied stereotypes and pushed boundaries, stand as powerful inspirations.

This panel will take a deep dive into the complex tapestry of women’s roles and challenges within hip hop and discuss, gender representation, the intersection of race and gender, resilience, and the genre’s future. The panel will be followed by an audience Q&A session and continue with live DJ performances from our panelists, including the renowned DJs Misbehavior and Beverly Bond.
